Animals Australia |
Animals Australia is the Australian arm of the
Australian and New Zealand Federation of Animal Societies Inc. (ANZFAS). It was founded in
1980 by Professor Peter Singer (author of 'Animal Liberation') and Christine Townend
(founder of the first Animal Liberation group in Australia).
It is the umbrella organization for around 40 animal protection groups in Australian and
New Zealand. |

The Marsupial CRC at Maquarie University has
drawn together a partnership that harnesses the expertise of 40 scientists. They work in
interlinked research teams based at Macquarie and Newcastle universities in New South
Wales, the Queensland Department of Primary Industries, Perth Zoo in Western Australia,
and Manaaki Whenua - Landcare Research in New Zealand. |

WIRES - Wildlife Information and Rescue
Service |
WIRES NSW (Wildlife Information and Rescue
Service) is the largest wildlife rescue group in Australia. It is a voluntary, non-profit,
non-political organisation operating across NSW. WIRES have established a network of
hundreds of volunteer rescuers, careers and veterinarians who rescue, rehabilitate and
release sick, injured or orphaned native wildlife. |
