Koala Chris is a little "Travel Buddy" glove puppet character developed by

Lindy McKeown and Chris Piper at Bundamba Primary School in Ipswich,

Queensland, Australia, whose purpose is to travel around the World,

providing a tangible and cute focus for activities and communication.

He has, for example, travelled twice to the U.S.A. and generated much activity

and learning by way of e-mail writing, stories, diaries, photos, Internet

Relay Chats, Internetional :-) telephone calls etc.

This Internet Web Page: "Connect and Click With Koala Chris", is designed as an

addition to the Koala Chris experience; being a simple interactive model,

especially for children, for point and click access to information and

communication, involving maps, graphics and e-mail and Electric Postcard

sending, relating to Koala Chris; and includes suggestions for, and results

of, competitions, as listed at the bottom of the Home Page.

Plans are at present under way for Indonesian and Japanese versions.

My intention is to encourage children especially, to contribute, via me (alias

Koala Chris :-), to The Page, which I want to update on a regular basis.

It would be great to see our children (and others :-) contribute to this page

and thus maintain a personal and practical interest in a field that will

revolutionize our immediate future!
