Raymond Fenton of South Cerney, England, has recently been to Nepal and e-mailed some magnificent pictures which are of great interest for our Asian Studies' Project. Raymond's starting point was Kathmandu, and his first picture shows the Buddhist, Sherpa and Tibetan centre of Kathmandu called Bodhnath.

The religious mound or "stupa" at Bodhnath is very interesting, and next Raymond sent us a picture and information about it.

Outside Kathmandu, Raymond stayed at a village named Birithanti.

Also outside Kathmandu, Raymond visited Pashupatinath, the most sacred of the
Hindu temples in Nepal.
