ART in Years 9 & 10 is an ELECTIVE COURSE. The course comprises of three component parts.

It is an extension of Year 7 & 8 offering students the opportunity to specialise, select and extend their knowledge and experience. |
Knowledge And Understanding Understand that subject matter can be used to develop insights into aspects of the world and the that interpretations and evaluations of these are important elements. |
Knowledge And Understanding Produce artworks with a variety of insights into aspects of the world. |
Knowledge And Understanding Evaluate and explain, in oral and written accounts, the historical significance of subject matter in particular works at a certain time and over time also how particular forms, materials and techniques are used to represent ideas in different times and places. |

Visual Arts Process Diary All students are required to keep a Visual Arts Process Diary for the duration of each course. Their diary is used for planning and reflective purposes and provides evidences of the range of learning activities undertaken. |
