At Cerdon we offer one unit General Studies in both years 11 and 12, with the option of sitting the Higher School Certificate at the end of year 11. A great way to get one unit over with early!

The course is aimed at making us ponder the tough questions of the 20th Century:

• Is cloning ethical?
• Why don't wealthy countries simply offer more to the third world?
• Why can't the United Nations solve all conflicts?
• Is Capital Punishment a viable form of crime control?
• Are computers taking over the world?
• What is the Australian culture?

Solutions to world issues are suggested, debated, argued, and finally answered. This course is better than a hypothetical case, we deal with real events, people, places and problems.
