Office Skills

If you can see the implications of the above scenarios then perhaps the 1 Unit office skills course is for you.

Schools have undergone a massive metamorphosis in the past 10 years. Whilst the so called 'traditional subjects still play an important role for some students, Cerdon College is now able to provide a range of courses that attempt to cater for the needs of all students.

Office Skills is a practical, hands on course. Even though the students who undertake such a course might not necessarily be choosing office work as a career, this 1 unit course is beneficial to a wide range of students. Traditional testing methods aren't a part of this course, rather, competency based programmes are used.

Modules studied include;

All of these skills are valuable in a multitude of work situations.

A 40 hour work placement is also a vital component of this course. Students can choose their own work placement in any office environment; travel agency, law firm, medical centre, insurance company etc...

On completion of this 2 year course students will receive TAFE accreditation.
