This course involves both :

  • Theoretical and
  • Practical components.
The course covers the following topic areas:
  • camera use
  • how to make a good negative
  • printing quality Black & White photographs.
  • using studio lighting creatively


  • studying other photographers' work
  • experiment with creative photographic techniques
  • career opportunities
 

Assessment includes:

practical tasks,

research assignments

and written examination

Requirements

  • All students are required to keep a record of their research and practical work.
  • Purchase a text book for the course.

All students are required to keep a Visual Arts Process Diary for the duration of each course.  Their diary is used for planning and reflective purposes and provides evidences of the range of learning activities undertaken.
