Subject Outlines

Junior School (yr 7 - yr 10)

In year junior school students are first introduced to the course PE/Health/PD. The course is roughly 50% theory and practical. There are several topics in the theory side and several different types of activities for each year.

Senior School (yr 11 and yr 12)

This course will be of value to a wide range of students with either an interest in, or a desire to enter into, fitness or sports related professions. the course combines rigorous academic study with some practical activities that help the students' understanding of theory. Students study two core units and an option during the preliminary course and a further two core units and optional unit in the HSC.

 

The Preliminary Course

* Personal Health: e.g Relationships, drugs use, fitness, nutrition.

* Movement Elements and Composition: Fitness Testing , Body Systems and their functions, Classifying Movement.
