Once again the Dapto Bats canoe polo team represented DHS in great style on November 10th in the Mudcake Challenge competition.  This enjoyable social competition has been hosted by the Kangaroo Valley Canoe Club (now called the Shoalhaven Canoe & Kayak Club) for the past 12 years.  This year was the first time the host club has won the event!  Who says persistence doesn't pay off...?!

Our team this year was: Chris Rogers, Jack Towers, Patrick Mitchell, Michael Goldsmith, Justin Vermast, Joel Deans and myself.  We had two extra support players (Wayne McManus and Shane Jacka, both were founding team members but are no longer at school) who came to assist any teams who needed extra help.  Several of our team were called on during the day to play for other teams that found themselves short of players.  Of course all were eager to assist.

Justin and Chris got their rolls working fairly well on the day - well done guys!  The opposition was too tough for us this year and we didn't make the finals, but we still got to share in the prize.
