Why we have computers at this school Every classroom has a poster on its door or above its computer, explaining how computers are used in that grade level. It's great for parents and it sets an expectation that they will be used that way. This information can be cut and pasted into appropriately presented posters. Download them

All teachers need to sign this form before
accessing the internet through a school connection:
application
form The full ED QLD
guidelines for each teacher to read: ACCEPTABLE USAGE.
This document deals with emailing on behalf of the school and other
important technology issues. Please note that records of past
actions of internet use can be found in many places on a computer.
Private use should be arranged elsewhere. Email Use All teachers do not automatically receive a school email account. A specific request has to be made to the SINA administrator before this is organized. The above policy outlines specific policies of ED QLD relating to teacher email. All official communication naming the school must have a CC sent to the principal. This school however allows teachers to use free email services for unofficial communication. Home use of computers/laptops Teachers are allowed to take stand-alone computers home over the holidays or long weekend, as long as due care is taken with this equipment. Teachers remain responsible for the information found on the computer when it is returned to school, including the internet cache. Extra software should not be loaded onto the computer as this may interfere with current settings. This also applies to when a teacher's family member is using the computer. Copyright If teachers require home copies of software, they should consult with the principal about ordering extra licenses.
