The lifeguards ensure that we are safe when swimming and surfing at our many beautiful beaches by placing the flags in the best spots for us to swim away from rips.

They patrol the beach and help anyone who might get into trouble in the surf. The lifegauards also look after us if we get stung by bluebottles. It is good to know I am safe at the beach because of the lifegauds employed by the council.
