Ancient Egypt

  Gods and Goddesses

Who ruled the underworld? Who made the crops grow? Who turned you into a star?

The answer to these questions are Gods. According to Ancient legends, a beetle pushed the sun across the sky every day. Wearing a ring with a scarab on it showed respect for the god Khepri.

According to Ancient legends, a cat helped the crops grow. She was a goddess called Bastet.
