Some chameleons lay their eggs in the ground and others like the Dwarf chameleon produce live young. (Miengah, Shahlaa and Sameenah)Mating takes place in January or February. There may be 3 to 4 matings
a day. The egg laying takes place in March. A chameleon may be seen
after rain looking for a suitable place for a hole to put the eggs. The hole
which the eggs go in is a little bit bigger than the body of the chameleon.
A chameleon may die while digging the hole or laying her eggs because
she is so tired. (Taryn, Deirdre and Shannon)
