Van Gogh was an impressionist artist and by the age of 27
he had been a salesman in an art gallery, a french tutor, a
theological student and an evangelist among the miners in
Wasmes, Belgium. He cut off his left ear. He shot himself
and died two days later in hospital at the age of 37.
Famous Paintings:
The Potato Eaters, Sunflowers, The Bedroom, A Starry
Night and A Portrait in Straw Hat.
