Major Drainage Works

During 1998, most of the stormwater drains around the school were replaced. The work took several months.

These have been common sights around our school this year. Paths had to be cut through so that drains could be dug underneath.

We hope these new drains will mean that we no longer have drains overflowing when it rains.

earth back into the trenches.

One day a bobcat digging trenches at the front of the school, dug right through the electricity, fax and phone lines.

The electricians had to bring temporary power lines in from another building. It was a week before everything was reconnected.

When the plumbers had nearly finished, the teachers invited them into the staffroom for a special morning tea - sandwiches and cakes etc all made by the teachers.

The plumbing is finished but the concreters are still working to restore the grounds to a useful condition.
