Travel Agent

When we interviewed the Travel Consultant we found that they had to take the Haytons Travel Consultancy Course in order to run their business.

Their work hours are 9am till 5pm. At the travel agency they have 4 staff. It is very hard to calculate how many clients they get in a week because they can call, fax or e-mail inquires. Some clients even come to the shop and some by mail.

The equipment that they use are three computers, one fax machine and one photocopier. The manager has to keep up with the good holidays on offer and also be able to book holidays.

The rest of the staff have to answer enquiries, work out questions, ring airlines, book airfares, fax overseas operators and book accommodation and sporting activities, type up all itinerary, tickets, vouchers etc. for clients once full payment has been received.

The thing that they like most about their job is sending people on holidays they enjoy. Their specialties (travel expertise) involve fishing, surfing and scuba diving holidays.
