Far West 

The Far West is a place in the top left hand corner of New South Wales.

THE MAIN FEATURES

The main natural features are Menindee and Silver Underground.

The main built features are Barrier Highway, Opal mine and Mining [silver].

THE MAJOR CITIES

 

The major cities in our region are Broken Hill, White Cliffs, Wilcannia and Ivanhoe.

 

MAJOR RIVERS

There are four major rivers going through our region. They are the Darling River, Paroo River , Pamamaroo Lake and Emu Lake.

Barrier Range and Coko Range are in this region.

This region is North West of Sydney.

 People like to visit this region to see the Artists and the Theme Parks

There are no similarities between this region and Pittwater but there are some differences. They are that the Far West has no beaches, it has flat ground and not many people.

INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT FAR WEST

There are two theme parks. Sturt National park is in the Far West. There is also a big mining area. There is the School of the Air and an underground hotel.
