JOHN HOWARD

JOHN WINSTON HOWARD was born on 26 July 1939 at Earlwood in NSW.

He went to school at Canterbury Boys High School. In 1971 he married Jannette Parker. They have one daughter and two sons. In 1974 he was elected to Federal Parliament. In 1982 he became deputy leader of the Liberal Party. He lost leadership until he was re-elected leader in 1995. John Howard became Australia's thirtieth Prime Minister in 2 March 1996. He campaigned under the slogan 'Enough is enough ' meaning that Thirteen years of Labour Government was long enough. John Winston Howard is still the Australian Prime Minister today.
