James Scullin
James Scullin was born on the 18 of September in 1876 in Trawalla, near Ballarat Victoria. He left school at 13 and educated himself at night and joined the labour movement.
The name of his Political party was the Australian Labor. His term in office as a Prime Minister was just over two years.
Some of his major achievements during the years were: -
He handled the Great Depression well.
He won the a seat for Corangamite, Victoria but lost it in 1913 and
won a seat for Yarra 1922.
He cared for his people and he was a gifted and witty puplic speaker.
He was the first Catholic Prime Minister, who was very gifted and lead the Government during the Great Depression.
He died on the 28 of January 1953 in Melbourne, Victoria.
