Stanley Melbourne Bruce
Stanley Melbourne Bruce was born in Melbourne 15th of April 1883. Stanley went to school at Melbourne Grammar School. After high school he went to Cambridge University in England.
When he graduated he went to Government and served the National Party. He was Prime Minister for 6yrs 8 months and 3 days. He was Prime Minister from 1923-1929.
During his job he initiated programs to help Australia grow after the first world war. He also encouraged migrants to settle and created schemes to assist people to become farmers. In 1926 he developed the CSIRO, the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research.
He died on the 25th of August 1967 in England at the age of 84.
