Winter Sports!
There are many winter sports involving snow, poles, skis and warm
clothes.
There are three types of skiing - down hill, alpine and rush skiing.
Races are very common in all ski parks. Competitors come from all over
the world with the dream of winning.
Bobsleds are another one of these snow sports. Luge and speed skating
are very absorbing sports and these are also Winter Olympic sports.
Hockey is another game in which two opposite teams hit a small round
object called a puck.
Snowboarding is a favourite of young people in their teens.
One or two people die a year in the Snowy Mountains. Landslides play a
big part in death on the slopes. Skiers can make a landslide occur by
skiing on soft snow.
