 Palau

Palau is a self-governing state in Compact of Free Association with USA.

The area is 497sq kilometers,or 192sq miles.The population is 15,450. The administrative centre is on Koror. Palau is made up of 200 Caroline islands including the islands of Koror, Babelthuap, Arakabesan and Peleliu.

Land and Resources

The islands of Palau are encompassed by a fringing reef. The larger islands are volcanic and have rich soils and ample water.

Palau's climate is tropical and humid.The average temperature is 27.5 degrees celcius.
