American Samoa has a total area of 200sq kms. In 1994 there was an estimated 55,223 people living in American Samoa.

America Samoa is made up of seven different islands in the Southern Pacific Ocean.

PAGO PAGO HARBOUR

  Pago Pago Harbour is in America Samoa. There the principal occupation is tuna fishing. Their most important crops include taro, coconuts, oranges, bananas, pineapples, papayas, breadfruit and yams.

HISTORY

The American Samoan history is that the native tradition is that the samoan islands was home of the polynesion race.

Bougainville, a french explorer, named the group Navigators Islands. In the 19th century Germany, Great Britian and U.S.A established commercial posts on the islands.
