Tokelua

Tokelau was first visited in 1765 by the British. Administration of the islands was transferred to New Zealand in 1926 and 1948. In 1976 name was officially changed from tokelau islands to tokelau in 1986 the population was 1600.

Copra and handiwoven crafts are the main exports.
