DESCRIPTION:

The Magpie Lark is black and white. It's about 25-30cm long. It nests in reeds. Its beak is white.

CALL:

The call sounds like 'mee, mee, mee, mee, mee, mee.'

HABITAT:

It lives in open woodlands, urban and suburban areas. It avoids rainforests.

DISTRIBUTION:

It lives on almost the entire mainland of Australia.

INTERESTING FACTS: 

It is not found in Tasmania. The Magpie Lark eats worms and other small creatures.
