Broad-leaved paper-bark

 
Melaleuca quinquinervia
has peeling papery bark.

DESCRIPTION:This plant grows to be tall.

Their leaves can be 7cm long, 5-18 mms wide.

HABITAT: The habitat of this plant is on the banks of coastal swamps and brakish lagoons. 

DISTRIBUTION: Queensland, NSW and Northern Territory.

FLOWERING:The flowering season is February-May. Throughout the season their flowers are creamy yellow.

INTERESTING FACTS: 
Aborigines used the papery bark as bandages.
