DESCRIPTION:
Persicaria Strigosa is a weak herb with tiny white flowers at the top of long stems in December and January. At the base of the leaves there is a brown sheath. You can recognise this by the hairs that stick downwards on the branches. The leaves are pear shaped.  

HABITAT: It lives in wet places near open streams and on river flats.

DISTRIBUTION: It is wide spread from coast to mountains.

FLOWERING: It flowers to December to January.

INTERESTING FACTS: All Knotweeds have small flowers,with 5 equal shaped segments.
