 Warriewood Wetlands
Land use of former wetland areas

The Warriewood Wetlands used to extend from the Narrabeen Lagoon through to Bayview Lake. There is now only a small remnant left as you can see in the map. Click here to see an aerial photo.

coloured by Daniel 5F

Daniel has coloured both the Wetlands and the adjoining Irrawong Reserve with green.

The grey crossed area next to the wetlands is Warriewood Square Shopping Centre.

The residential areas are shaded pink. Most of these are on higher ground to the sides of the former Wetlands but some, along Garden Road and Pittwater Road are on former Wetland areas.

The dotted white areas are market gardens, horse paddocks, glasshouses, two schools and other non-urban land uses.

The plain white areas are playing fields, a golf practice range, caravan park, and recreational reserves.

The two striped areas are golf courses but they are on higher land that would not have been in the Warriewood Wetlands.
