White Cheeked Honeyeater

DESCRIPTION:

The White-cheeked honey eater has grey and black feathers. A few of its feathers are yellow. It has a white cheek.

HABITAT:

The White-cheeked honey eater lives in marshy, wet and moisturised areas.

DISTRIBUTION:

It lives on the east coast of Australia and the bottom corner of Western Australia.

INTERESTING FACTS:

The bird makes the nest out of fibre, bark and leaves. It ties all these things together with cobweb. Both parents nurse their babies until the babies are ready to leave the nest.  Their song is occasionally high pitched and sounds like a squirrel.
