This annual event is held at the Barmera Oval. At the trials, dog owners direct their border collies to move a group of sheep through an obstacle course within a 15 minute time limit. Points are lost for moving off course or not completing obstacles.


Spectators at the events in the past have been surrounded by entertainment. An animal zoo and craft stalls have been a highlight in the past along with some sheep races. Another highlight has been skydivers landing on the oval.
