Virtual Library Researching an issue
This structure and the questions can be used in Australian Studies, Biology, Science, SOSE, Christian Studies, Phys Ed

Understand the issue	Why is this issue of concern and/or current? What factors have an impact on the issue? What are some of the points of view that relate to this issue? How has this issue developed over time? What do you understand about this issue and how do you feel about it?
Investigate the issue	How can you find out more about this issue? Which groups in society have an interest in this issue? How can you draw together a range of points of view on this issue?
Analyse the issue	Which groups appear to be powerful and influential in this issue? Why? What are the points of conflict? Whose interests are being served by the various points of view?
Make decisions on the issue	What options to act do you think are most appropriate in relation to the issue? What would you do? Who benefits and who is disadvantaged by these options?
