| There are twenty-seven students in our class. Ten girls and four boys are in Year 5 and seven girls and six boys are in Year 6. Ten of us speak Arabic and English. Three of us speak Chinese and English. Some of us speak Indonesian, Fijian, Greek, Pakistani, Portugese, Samoan, Tagalog or Vietnamese as well as English. |
| Many of us attend Arabic, Chinese or Vietnamese Community Language classes as native speakers and some of us are learning Arabic, Chinese or Vietnamese as non-native speakers. |

| We live in Sydney which is the capital city of New South Wales and the largest city in Australia. Over 4 million people and nearly as many cats and dogs live in the Sydney metropolitan area. |
