LEAP - More Than Just A Stream

Lyneham High School's Lyneham Enriched Academic Program is far removed from being just a stream that is above level one. It is an EXPERIENCE. In LEAP you are constantly challenged scholastically and personally. The projects are interesting (except for Maths) and, if you put the effort in, they can actually be enjoyable.

Some commonly held fallacies about LEAP are;

- LEAP means more homework,

- LEAP students have no personality,

- LEAP students do nothing outside of school except school work,

- EVERYONE in LEAP is a nerd, geek or a weirdo.

The opposing truths to these fallacies are;

- In LEAP you get to do most homework in class,

- LEAP students are often accused of having personality in excess,

- LEAP students do nothing outside of school ...., like most students,

- Well .... that one's probably true come to think of it.

But don't take it from me, the other students and the teachers will back me up absolutely, kind of, hopefully .... oh well, let's see...
