The Blue-faced Honeyeater is one of 65 different species of honeyeaters in Australia.Its common
names are banana bird, blue eye and mulberry bird. It lives in eucalyptus woodlands and
mangrove and paperbark swamps.It lays eggs with pinkish-brown spots. They take 2 to 3

Eastern Whipbird The eastern whipbird is a small olive,green,white-cheeked rainforest bird. It eats insects and other small creatures living in the rainforest. It has a very distinctive call when seeking its mate. -Hannah, Yr 5, 1999 |
Noisy Miner These territorial birds are all around our area. They are also called mickey birds. |

The King Parrot King Parrots are beautiful and are found in our area. The female parrot is mostly green with some scarlet on the lower breast and the belly. The male is much brighter.
