Rainbow Lorikeet The Rainbow Lorikeet has many different colours like red,orange,green,yellow and blue. It likes eating insects and the nectar of flowers. It also likes eating the crops on farms but it damages them. -Jenna,Yr 5,1999 Drawing by Jenna |
Scrub Turkey The Australian Bush Turkey has black on its tail and wings, red on its head and yellow on its neck. It eats worms, insects and scraps off the ground. Their eggs are white when they lay them but a couple of days after they are stained. They are found in rainforests and bush. -Daniel, Yr 5,1999 |

Swamp Hen The swamp hen is a black water hen with a red beak, purple spot and flashing white tail. It eats grass seeds, water plants, insects, water snails and frogs. They pick food from plants in shallow water and live right beside our rainforest. -Kristy, Yr 5, 1999 Drawing by Kristy |

Richmond Birdwing Butterfly The Richmond Birdwing Butterfly is an amber gold or emerald green coloured butterfly. It is one of the largest butterflies in the world and one of the rarest.
