In June 1989, Mooloolah State School won
a World Environment Day award for $500 for their efforts in beginning the rainforest
project. The plan was to plant 400 square metres every year for 15 to 20 years so students

1992...Stage 5 This is Stage 5 and the weeds are a big problem, so everyone needs to be involved to help clear them. Years 4,5,6 and 7 were all part of the project in September 1992. -Daniel & Brooke, Yr 5, 1999 |
1993 Look at all this shade! Students are planning a "Tree Walk" as part of the School Centenary. 45 trees were identified and labelled for this event planned for next year, 1994. -Daniel & Brooke, Yr 5, 1999 |

1994 Local Wildlife Artists, Peta Boyce and Jane Allen, painted a rainforest mural in the covered play area to celebrate the centenary of Mooloolah State School. |
