Our Town

Town - Recreation - Public Transport

The post office is alive with friendly people everyday. The Foodstore has moved recently and is a fine place where you can buy almost anything.

-Andrew M, Yr 5, 1999

Here are some of Mooloolah's shops. This is the video shop where the Foodstore used to be. Most of our buildings are painted cream and green.

-Tara D, Yr 5, 1999

An old pedestrian bridge lets us walk safely over the electric train tracks.

-Daniel K, Yr 5, 1999

The historic train station and platform in the centre of town.
The train takes passengers south to Brisbane from Mooloolah. Many people work or study in the city.

-Daniel K, Yr 5, 1999

Pony Club

Mooloolah's pony club grounds holds many events such as gymkana, fun days, musters, trail rides, official jumping days and pony club camps. The club does not provide horses as members bring their own.

The musters are on every second Saturday. The canteen provides goodies like mini pizzas, lollies and burgers.

There is a different person every week to teach at the pony club.

- Jessica, Yr 5, 1999

Mooloolah Public Hall

Opened in 1905 this historic building is still used for meetings, church, dances, art groups and community gatherings.

A member of the Mooloolah Craft and Quilters group displays her patchwork quilts at the hall.
