OUR SCHOOL MISSION IS THAT:

THE MUDGEERABA STATE SPECIAL SCHOOL WILL PROVIDE AN APPROPRIATE EDUCATION FOR OUR STUDENTS IN AN ENCOURAGING, SUPPORTIVE AND CARING ENVIRONMENT.

All students attending Mudgeeraba Special School are acknowledged and valued as individuals. They have individual programs that facilitate their participation in a process of learning and training that:

The school values the participation of parents, staff, and the student's network as partners in the process of program development.

We believe that:

* Students should be encouraged to strive for goals in a positive climate that acknowledges equity and social justice.

* In a supportive school each member of our community will support and value others as individuals or as members of a group.

* School I.E.P. priority goals must be realistic, linked to the Key Learning Areas,but offer a range of program options which are responsive to our student's identified learning needs.

* By working through their I.E.P.'s, students will be assisted to function meaningfully within their communities and homes.
