SOSE, Science Unit: Fresh from the Farm - (a) after a farm visit, students use age appropriate painting package to draw a picture of farm life. (b) use early learning software (eg James Discovers Math) to count out fruit on a shopping list. (c) teacher supported slide show development of 'What am I' Fresh Food Quiz (hints and answer slides)
HPE, SOSE Unit: All about Me! - (a) using a paint package with stamps, students do a self portrait or a series of faces with different features. (b) in a short class-produced intranet web page, children (with help) type short bits of information about themselves.
SOSE, English, Technology Unit: Teddy Bear Rappers - (a) class takes part in the annual 'Teddy Bear Book Rap' through Oz-Teachernet. Teacher manages email communications involved. Students as a class group formulate responses and write stories about bears. (b) simple invitations to a teddy bear's picnic with the support of the teacher done with an age appropriate program. (c) design a bears' house -what would bears love to have inside? - drawings on computer with stamps of paint program inside simple empty house picture drawn by teacher (like open dolls' house)
English, Technology Unit: Fun and Fairy Tales - (a) children interact with CD ROM based stories (b) with a paint program, draw themselves alongside their favourite character. (c) fun with tales - teacher directed, class reinvention of an old fairy tale published as a narrated slide show to be viewed in the class room 
The Arts, English, SOSE Unit: The Circus Comes to School! - (a) animals of the circus, computer clip art and children's computer drawings printed out. (b) a published list of what people like to see at a circus. (c) a computer published circus poster. (d) a recall of a visit to the circus as a computer slide show.
HPE, The Arts, SOSE Unit: I Sense Therefore I Am - (a) published posters of clip art - mouth eyes, ears etc.. with large words typed by students band posted underneath, telling how we examples of everyday things what do we use our senses for. (b) Sensory walk - a recall of all seen, heard, felt etc on an excursion to say, the forest for example as a slide show (c) simple computer concept map - what can't we reproduce easily to describe/present what the senses have experienced?
