Introduction
This site has been developed to support
teachers in schools in the Murrumba District with planning to use computers
in the years 1-7. The materials were developed in part by a team of
representatives from schools in the district, following a networking day
at the Murrumba District Office. Other sources of expertise were drawn
on to provide greater breadth of experience and ideas - see 'credits'.
The materials are designed to assist
schools in redeveloping their programs for computers in learning in the
years 1-7 as we move toward an outcomes approach - to provide meaningful
learning experiences and assessment for students by which we may assess
their level of achievement.
Schools should align the use of these
guidelines to their own school mission and intent in terms of how they
choose to use computers to benefit the learning process within their
'curriculum plan'.
