'Bicycles Don't Fly' - a review by Michael

Bicycles Don’t Fly by Barbara Giles
Illustrated by Bill Wood

Have you ever wondered if bicycles could fly? Well Jack did and he goes on all kind of adventures including the Golden Goose. His best friend Dib and his worst enemy Pug involves him in lots of mischief. When he discovers the blue oil, which Bill makes. He gets an idea.

When Christmas comes he gets a bike. His idea was to put the blue oil all over his bike to stop friction
and try and make him fly. But when Bill breaks his leg he’s left high and dry with no blue oil.

I really liked this book as it was quite funny and I think
Barbara Giles is a very good writer. This book is very exciting but trails off towards the end. I would give this book six out of ten as I found it hard to follow.
