'Fox' - a review by Alexandra

“Fox” by Margaret Wild

Illustrated By Ron Brooks.

The characters are Magpie, Dog and Fox. The setting is in the bush.  It’s about friends who care about each other but the fox gets jealous.

Margaret Wild probably wrote the story because she liked animals and the bush. I liked it because it has text that looks like children writing. I really liked the artwork because it looks real. I give it a rating of 10 out of 10 because of the lovely illustrations.

'Fox' - a review by Felicity

The author is Margaret Wild and it is illustrated by Ron Brooks.

The characters are a fox who is sly, a dog who is friendly and a magpie who is suspicious.

The setting is in the Australian bush.

The story is about magpie and dog who were good friends. One day a sly fox came and the fox kept on asking magpie to come with him.  Finally, one day magpie did …

The author’s message is showing us what it is like to have no friends.

I think this book is quite good because the ending is unusual.  The artwork is very good because it is different. I give this book a rating of 10-10.  I recommend it because it has great artwork

The title is Fox.

It is illustrated by Ron Brooks and the author is Margaret Wild.

The book “Fox” is a lovely book and is well written because it is really exciting.

The characters are a fox, dog and magpie.  The setting was in the wild. The story is about a dog and a magpie that were friends and the fox was jealous.

The author wrote the book probably because she wanted to tell us about friends.

The artwork was the best I have seen. I would give it a rating of 10 out of 10. I would recommend it to other children my age.

'Fox' - a review by Jayden

“Fox” by Margaret Wild is illustrated by Ron Brooks.

The characters in this story are magpie, fox and dog.

The story is about a dog finding a magpie in a bush fire.  The dog is blind in one eye and the magpie could not fly because of a burnt wing.

The author wants us to think about what it feels like to have no friends. The plot is set in the Australian bush.  I thought it was exciting and unusual.

I thought the illustrations were quite different.  I would give the book a rating of nine out of ten and would highly recommend it.
