| 'The
Odyssey' - a review by Claire
TITLE: The Odyssey
AUTHOR: Adrian Mitchell
WHAT THE BOOK IS ABOUT:
The Odyssey is the retelling of an epic written by Homer in the 8th century BC. Moving at a slightly fast pace, this book is great for anyone between 10yrs and adult interested in Greek mythology.
This story is about a man just wanting to get home and have a peaceful farming life. It all starts when Odysseus is forced to go to the Trojan War.. Being a smart and cunning man, he wins it and expects to go home. But before he has the chance, he is pulled into an adventure full of misery and action.
This book has many good pictures, but the story itself builds a colourful picture in your mind.
As well as being very entertaining, it is packed full of information. There is a new adventure in every chapter.
It shouldn’t take you to long to read this book. It is written in the third person and is just the right style to draw you in.
An interesting and fulfilling read.
