'Second Childhood - a review by Meghan

Author: Morris Glietzman

Second Childhood is an intriguing story written by the famous author Morris Glietzman. It was first published in 1998 by Puffin books in Victoria. This book is fiction and is written in ways so you can’t put the book down!

It’s the start of a new year and it is Mark's first day in high school and it is not how he expected it to be. Other characters in the story include Annie, Pino, Rufus and Daryl his younger brother. The story is about Mark who is struggling in high school life until he finds Annie a shy, secretive girl. When Annie tells Mark her secret he starts thinking.

Annie’s secret is that everyone has been someone in their past life. Annie was Phar Lap, one of the greatest horses in history. Now Mark wants to find out who he was in his past life. Mark and his friends get up into lots of trouble and mischief. I’d say this book is one of Morris’s best for the way it all falls into place. This book is entertaining, fun and great to read.

I would suggest this book for readers aged 9-12, as it is excellent. I would give it a rating of 10 out of 10 because it is great. Once you start to read this book you can never put it down! This book RULES!!!
