'Selby Screams' - a review by Meghan

Author: Duncan Ball

Selby Screams is an interesting story by Duncan Ball first published in 1989 by Angus and Robertson.

This is a hilariously funny book about a dog trying to keep a secret.

It’s about a dog called Selby and he finds it really hard o keep a secret. It contains a number of short stories that are quick, easy and fun to read.

One of my favourites is called “Selby in Love”. He dreams about having a dog he can love and he finds one at a magic show. Her name is Lulu and she is a talking dog as well but she ends up being electronic.

I enjoyed this book and I recommend for other people who like a little bit of a laugh to read the Selby series. I think people aged 9-12 will enjoy the book more.
