'Two Hands Together' - a review by Kate

TITLE: Two Hands Together

AUTHOR: Diana Kidd

WHAT IS THE BOOK ABOUT? Two Hands Together is about two girls, Lily and Ella.

When the Rileys moved in next door, Lily and Ella became the best of friends. Lily and her younger brother Jake were always going over to play with Danny and Ella. When the Rileys were moving in next door Dad was going on about the Rileys would be trouble makers because they were black. But Lily can't figure out why her Dad doesn't like the Rileys and she can't understand the things that come out of his mouth about them. "Why doesn't he want us to go over there?" thinks Lily.

I really enjoyed Two Hands Together. I would give it 10 out of 10. My favourite characters are Lily and Ella.

WHO WOULD ENJOY THE BOOK?
I would say that children from the age of 9-11 would enjoy it the most.

TITLE: Two Hands Together

AUTHOR: Diana Kidd

WHAT THE BOOK IS ABOUT: Two Hands Together is about two girls Lily and Ella, each with really different backgrounds, who become friends. Lily goes against her father's word and becomes best friends with Ella. Lily's father does not want her to be best friends with Ella because their skin colour is different. After Lily's brother is nearly killed and Ella Riley saves him, Lily's father forgets his hatred and becomes the Riley's good friend.

My favourite part in the book is when Lily and Ella tell ghost stories under the possum skin rug.

Out of ten, I would give this book ten. People aged from 9-11 would enjoy the book most.
