Prior to the email of your book
review, you will need to type it in a word processor and save it as a text file, so it is
easily put into email and web pages. Do not bother with stylised or large-sized fonts -
keep your text plain for now. If you are publishing the review for display at the school
the fonts may be changed later. Make sure you carefully proofread your work and check it
for spelling errors.
Email your review to the 'BOOM' email list which
your class and other classes are subscribed to.
The book review, ideally, should be included in the
email message, not sent as an attachment. This makes it easier for all schools to receive
and print. The text from your word processing document may be 'copied and pasted' into
your email message with ease - ask for help
if not sure.
For now, while there is a change of
email services in schools, email
your reviews to the coordinator.
While you are using the email program, check for
other book reviews which may be sent in from students at other schools. These will be sent
automatically to you if you are a member of the 'Boom' email list.
You may read the reviews to your class and keep a
collection of them in a folder if you wish. Remember to recognise copyright
of the work of other students.
