ICTE Presenters, The materials in this kit are quite comprehensive and presenters may choose to use some or all of them in workshops. The PowerPoint presentation is designed to direct the sequencing of the workshop, with the hands-on activities and discussion as the intended focus. People are welcome to use these resources as they will, as long as the source is acknowledged! In with these resources may also be pdf files which have been downloaded from Education Queensland web sites so they are on hand for the presentation. Presenters may use their discretion at how many workhop materials are photocopied as handouts, though the PowerPoint slides, sample units and their own activity pages may be sufficient. The room should be divided into groups of 4-5. It is recommended that 20 people or so should be the maximum. Initial handouts for each group are the activity descriptors for task 1, copies of the syllabus and notes pages. It is quite a busy workshop, with other handouts given to groups at strategic times, so it is recommended that more than one person run the workshop. It is advisable that a quick 'step through' the ICTE syllabus is given (by section) prior to starting - the Power Point Presentation will direct the tasks. Round buttons on pages are to linked files or other slides. A small ICTE workshop logo inthe bottom right corner indicates a link back to the home page for that section. A quick try of the presentation prior to starting should help - this is best run with the hyperlinks linking between key pages, rather than just 'turning' the slides. If there is no data projector available, many of the resources are designed to be copied or printed straight to overhead transparencies. It is advised also that the folder with the presenation resources be copied to the desktop of the computer where the presentation is being run, for best results. There are instructions for presenting each task in the task folders.
