It doesn't matter which package you use to connect to an IRC (Internet Relay Chat) server. Here is a link to a package called Global Chat. It can be used on any platform - Mac, Win95 or Windows 3.x.

Ultimately, it doesn't matter which server you connect to. Roy Kennedy at Yeppoon State High School has set up an IRC server for educational use.

Enter the settings in the slots as indicated in the image to below.

Server:   irc.yeppoon.shs.net.au
Port:   6667
Nick Name:   your abbreviated identity
Full Name:   your full identity
eMail Address:   your email address (not essential)
