Transport
We are located 100 metres from Warringah Road which is a major transport route to Chatswood and the northern beaches. Forest Coach Lines provide a reliable bus service to schools in this area including OLGC. Limited parking is available on and outside the school grounds. A school crossing is supervised each day. Information can be found at http://www.forestcoachlines.com.au
Kallioolla
OLGC has its own natural bushland area, Kallioolla, which is an aboriginal word meaning ‘evergreen’. A walk winds through this area. It begins at a memorial garden then works its way past bushland to two bridges which traverse a creek bed. At the end of the walk are some picnic tables and seats which the children use for prayer, art, outdoor education and other activities. The picnic area has a peaceful outlook over Middle Harbour and across to the city of Sydney.
Playing field
The school‘s playing field has been recently returfed and provides a significant space for play and sports activities.
Play equipment
The school has a large set of adventure playground equipment for the children to enjoy.
Asphalt areas
There are two full sized netball courts and a full sized basketball court which is covered by shade cloth thanks to the Commonwealth Government’s Investing in our Schools Project and the generosity of our parents.
Undercover areas
Our new buildings provide undercover play areas for the children in addition to the above and include modern play markings for games.
